William Grant and Sons, one of the largest producers of Scotch whisky and one of our most valued customers, has been keeping us busy of late.
We have provided them with a number of our services over the past five years, including copper cabling, blown fibre and IP CCTV installations at their sites in Girvan, Bellshill and Dufftown.
At the Girvan plant, we installed a series of fibre optic cables from the main block to the new energy centre due to their continued expansion within the site. A new wall mounted data cabinet has also been put in place to hold new PoE equipment for their new offices, and we have installed data points in the energy centre control room. This is to allow them control of their Building Management Systems (BMS); used, for example, to control fire alarms and gas systems, which are vital to the running of the plant. The BMS permits William Grant and Sons to continuously monitoring its systems in real-time to allow for safe working.
At the plant in Dufftown, we have supplied and installed blown fibre cabling infrastructure and a series of Mobotix IP CCTV cameras. We have utilised both M15 and D15 cameras with GJD's Clarius IR PoE illuminators. The cameras monitor the main gates on the site, for both number plate recognition and security purposes.
Finally, we would like to thank Glenfiddich for the refreshments we purchased from the visitor centre for our clients' Christmas gifts. They were very well received!
